We request a $30 fee to become a member. This money goes towards running costs (e.g. animal feed, equipment costs, etc). The membership fee can be paid either by cheque (made out to 'South Oakleigh Wildlife Shelter') or via bank deposit (Account name: Michele Phillip, BSB: 063126, Account no.: 10282810).
In September 2016, the shelter was lucky enough to be selected to participate in the Lend Lease Community Day program. As a result, a number of Lend Lease staff attended the shelter and worked tirelessly to erect a front fence for the shelter, as well as plant a number of native shrubs and trees. General handy tasks were also attended to, all in all, it was a wonderful experience. All of the staff member's time, the materials and also the Lend Lease Cupcakes were supplied by Lend Lease.
